Plate-cylinder camlock Ø 18
Camlocks with plate-cylinder are certainly one of the most popular lock models for industrial applications. The nickel-plated brass key allows the rotation of the 5-plate barrel located inside a zinc alloy housing called stator or body. The double D fixing hole prevents the rotation of the camlock body when installed. The cam rotation determines the locking or the unlocking.
The body and the barrel of the camlock are made of zinc alloy, the cam is made of steel. The 7 mm cam connection also allows the installation of several straight, cranked or notched cams, as well as of 2-point cams to operate rods. With this 18 mm camlock, it is possible to remove the key both in the opening and in the closing position. The threaded housing is suitable for nut fixing.
This 18 mm plate-cylinder camlock is the cheap alternative to the item no. 100400, the mail boxes camlock also marketed with the brand “Michel” installed on the Seat filing cabinets. Thanks to its reduced size, it is also used on glass doors of showcases and displays.
