Our history

April 2017

50’s

50's The "Laguzzi Lorenzo", established in Turin by Mr. Laguzzi, produces safety locks under the name “Michel”.

1967

The activity passes on to the growing leadership of Mr. Mario Olivi. Thus, the company "LAGUZZI di Olivi Mario" is established and starts broadening the range of goods under the new brand "O.M.R.".

1985

The company is handed over to his son, Mr. Roberto Olivi, and acquires the name of "O.M.R. Olivi Roberto & C. Snc".

1990

New headquarters and manufacturing base. The plant is transferred from the base of Via Grivola to the industrial hub in Strada del Francese in Turin.

2002

The experience and continuous research of innovative solutions give the company the right recognition for the quality and aesthetics of the product: from the 17th of January, O.M.R. is certified ISO 9001:2000.

2006

On the 1st of May, the company acquires MOIA, a manufacturer of high security rim locks, in business since 1958. The production of such products is moved from the plant of Via Orbetello to Strada del Francese, where a new line of high security locks for armoured doors is developed with the brand name "MOIA".

2008

A new line, named "CROSS", is created to offer a wide range of locks and padlocks at affordable prices.

2009

The construction works begin for a new and larger production facility in the new industrial hub of Borgaro Torinese, a town in the northern outskirts of Turin.

2010

The factory is transferred, after 20 years of business in Strada del Francese in Turin, to the new headquarters and production plant in the new industrial zone of Via Tetti dell’Oleo in Borgaro Torinese.

Our company

O.M.R. successfully design and develop locks for several manufacturing sectors (office furniture, changing room lockers, showcases and displays, sheet metal enclosures, mail boxes etc.). Our excellent national and international standing is the fair acknowledgement for the greatest care paid to the product quality and appearance.

As of May 1st 2006, the acquisition of the company MOIA established in 1958, allowed us to add the security locks for front doors and armoured doors to our product range. We never turn a blind eye to our competitive edge thanks to the steady investments in state-of-the-art equipment to keep up with the innovation and changing needs demanded by the market.

The locks branded O.M.R. are entirely manufactured in our plant in Turin and they guarantee the traditional “Made in Italy” high quality standards. The wide array of products meets the needs of both small and big businesses, thus allowing us to tackle the most diverse market requirements.

The company MOIA was established in 1958 and today it is a brand of the O.M.R. family. The security locks for front doors and armoured doors are entirely manufactured within our premises. The high product quality is the result of the long-standing experience and of the steady quest for innovative solutions.

CROSS

The latest member of the O.M.R. family, the new product line CROSS was designed to meet the needs of an increasingly expanding market, thus offerring a wide array of high-quality locks, latches and padlocks at a competitive price. CROSS was launched in 2008 and it is an O.M.R. brand.
