The universal pin tumbler lock has an internal mechanism that is activated when the key is inserted, which aligns the pins according to a precise position, enabling the release of the barrel and the opening or closing movement. Pin-cylinder cam locks are the premium version of their plate-cylinder counterparts: high-quality materials, greater resistance to burglary attempts, elegant design, and a precise internal mechanism increase their value.
Both the pins and the outer body are made of brass; the 7-mm square terminal also allows the installation of a variety of straight, cranked and hook cams, as well as multi-point cams to move translating rods (up/down), or even actuators for multiple and centralized locking of drawer units.
Universal cam locks with standard key are suitable for infrastructures that regulate access to a premises, and are particularly suitable in outdoor applications such as on parking meters and vending machines, fuel dispensers, or in the vending industry.
