As the name suggests, he universal cam lock with square mounting hole can be installed in square holes whose shape prevents rotation of the lock body during opening and closing operations and offers greater resistance to break-in attempts. It combines reliability, aesthetics and functionality, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of locking needs.
The nickel-plated brass key turns the central 5-wafer rotor housed inside a zinc alloy casing known as the stator, bushing or body. The body and rotor of the cam lock are made of zinc alloy, while the cam (also known as the pawl) is made of steel. The 7 mm square drive accepts straight, cranked and hook cams, as well as multi-point cams for operating sliding rods (up and down). The threaded body allows fixing by nut, or by horseshoe clip or spring clip for quick installation on steel, aluminum or plastic panels.
The universal cam lock is ideal for installation in office furniture, metal doors, access hatches, fabricated metalwork, sheet-metal enclosures, vending and car wash systems, machinery and control panels.
