Mini plate-cylinder camlock

Theuniversal wafer tumbler mechanism mini-lock is certainly among the most popular locking mechanisms as it is extremely versatile. The nickel-plated brass key moves the central plate-cylinder rotor placed inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The diameter is milled on two opposing sides (side plates) forming a double D to prevent rotation of the pawl on the door. By operation of the rear cam, the locking or opening of the mini camlock is determined.

The body and barrels of this lock are made of zinc alloy, while the cam is made of steel. The 7 mm square terminal also allows the installation of a variety of straight, cranked and hook cams, as well as multi-point cams for rod movement, actuators or pin tumblers for multiple and centralized locking of drawers. The 1/4-turn cam locks can also be made waterproof, with protection from dust and water, thanks to technopolymer, a special “metal plastic” that guarantees mechanical performance on par with aluminum alloy, resistance to weathering and corrosion, as well as perfect integration with the finished product, thanks to the wide range of colors available.

There are various models available with different movements, suitable for panel thickness from 0.5 to 27 mm, with key removal in open and/or closed position. The fully threaded body allows nut fastening.

The mini plate-cylinder camlock, thanks to its reduced size, is used for applications where the installation space is limited, such as products for hygiene and sanitization, soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers, alarm systems, contract furniture for medical practices and healthcare facilities, bespoke shop furniture, displays, mail boxes and filing cabinets, enclosures, changing room lockers, workshop cabinets, motorcycle trunks, e-bikes batteries, gaming machines, vending machines and carwash systems.
