Plate-cylinder cam locks are certainly among the most popular for use in applications that require an easy, quick and automatic locking system. The nickel-plated brass key allows the lock to open with a 90° counterclockwise rotation, moving the central 5-plate-cylinder rotor located inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The double D fixing hole prevents the rotation of the cam lock body when installed. The spring-return mechanism, which operates the rear cam, allows automatic return to the closed position to provide greater security and prevent the lock from being forgotten in the open position. The body and rotor of the spring-return lock are made of zinc alloy, the cam of steel. The 7 mm square terminal also allows the installation of straight, cranked and hook cams-also customizable to specific needs-as well as multi-point cams for rod propulsion.
