Latch lock with return spring and hook cams

The plate-cylinder cam locks with a wafer tumbler mechanism are certainly among the most popular for use in applications requiring an easy, quick and automatic locking system. The nickel-plated brass key allows the lock to open with a 90° counterclockwise rotation, moving the central 5-plate-cylinder cam locks located inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The diameter is milled on two opposing sides (side plates), forming a double D in order to prevent rotation of the camlock in the installation housing. The spring-return mechanism, which operates the rear-hook cam, allows automatic return to the closed position to provide greater security and prevent the lock from being forgotten in the open position.

The body, barrel, and strike lever of this spring lock are made of zinc alloy. The 7 mm square terminal also allows the installation of straight, cranked and hook cams that can also be customized to specific needs. There are various models available with different movements, suitable for panel thickness from 0.5 to 27 mm, with key removal in open and/or closed position. Fully threaded body allows attachment by nut, but also by horseshoe clip or clip forquick installation on steel, aluminum or plastic sheets.

A stainless steel foil protects the inner barrel, which is the heart of the lock as well as the most delicate part. Thanks to this measure, the new OMR-branded lock can also be installed outdoors, as the stainless steel provides high resistance to external agents such as rain, snow, and saltiness. In addition, the plastic cover protects the internal mechanism from dust and debris, ensuring a long life for the lock, even under demanding environmental conditions.
