Our commitment to the planet
Eco-sustainability is one of the founding values of OMR Locks. We have chosen to have a lighter environmental shape for our country, adding to that 40 percent of energy produced from renewable sources in Italy. The roof of our warehouses is literally covered with photovoltaic panels.
So far we have saved the environment over 750 tons of CO2, the equivalent of what an average car would produce in 170 years. You can see all the statistics of our PV systems and know in real time how much electricity they are producing right now.
At OMR Locks, it is indeed a point of pride to be able to tell you that the quality of the air we breathe is also improving because of choices like ours!
Recyclable packaging and FSC paper
The value of eco-sustainability is also reflected in the creation of 100% recyclable packaging and the implementation of a strict internal protocol that will soon lead to thecomplete elimination of plastic.
Our support for the environment is also embodied in the use of raw materials for printing: all our catalogs and promotional materials are printed on FSC®-certified paper(i.e., from responsibly managed natural sources), sharing the culture of respect for the environment among our stakeholders as well.
At OMR Locks, we know that life is important and that today’s choices design our children’s future. That’s why we have decided to use only FSC-certified paper, and we are eliminating plastic from all our packaging: it is not essential.
OMR for Social
Our company was founded in 1958 and has always been committed to supporting the community, youth and the most fragile people. We are active supporters of the initiatives of BNI Business Voices. Together with them, we donated a supply of tablets to young school students in Volpiano (TO) to help families face distance education with peace of mind.
Another school in the province of Turin has received a new defibrillator as a donation from OMR Locks because timeliness is crucial in emergency response, and a few minutes could make the difference in saving the lives of students, teachers, employees and operators.
