Universal Wafer-cylinder cam locks with plate-cylinder mechanism, dust flap and stainless steel cap, friendly called pawl, are among the most reliable locks for weather and corrosion resistance. The nickel-plated brass key moves the central 5-plate-cylinder rotor placed inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The double D fixing hole prevents the rotation of the cam lock body when installed. The cam rotation determines the locking or the unlocking.
The body and cam lock rods are made of zinc alloy, while the cam is made of steel. The 7-mm square terminal also allows installation of a variety of straight, cranked and hook cams, as well as multi-point cams for moving translating rods (up/down). The entirely threaded body allows the fixing using a nut or horseshoe clip for the quick installation on steel, aluminum or plastic panels.
The universal cam lock with dust cover and stainless steel cap is therefore ideal for artifacts to be installed outdoors such as motorcycle trunks, trunks and roof bars for cars, bike racks, ski racks, metal doors, hatches, carpentry artifacts, sheet metal boxes, vending and carwash systems.
