IFAT is just around the corner, and OMR could not miss it

The 2022 edition ofIFAT, one of the most relevant trade fairs in the environmental sector, which will be held in Munich from May 30 to June 2, is really just around the corner. As always, the Bavarian trade show will host companies and organizations involved in water, wastewater, waste and raw materials management.
This year’s edition will focus attention on hot topics thanks to Supporting Programs, cycles of conferences and panel discussions involving major players and industry experts on the topics of water use and access, the circular economy, and natural resource consumption, but not only. They will discuss sustainable cities and municipal governments, waste management, and alternatives to oil and natural gas-is there anything more timely and urgent?
In this context of innovation and concern for the environment , OMR could not be absent. For years we have been striving to reduce our ecological shape while at the same time making products designed to improve the quality and safety of services rendered to the community, as in the case of gravity ecological locks.
IFAT 2022 is the stage we have chosen for the presentation of our latest innovation, namely the gravity lock with RFID electronic opening. We have decided to take waste management one step into the future: from now on, all it takes is a simple RFID-encoded key fob or smartphone to unlock the lock, which is activated at the push of a button. As simple, fast and secure as ever, but even more convenient.
This is a lock to be installed on waste bins: being a gravity model – like the mechanical models already on the market – it allows waste collectors to dispose of waste without difficulty, because the lock releases when it is tipped over. However, in the upright position, the patented mechanism closes the garbage bin, preventing passersby from throwing municipal waste into other people’s waste bins. This way, in addition to avoiding fines and hefty municipal fines, we do not allow a simple act of carelessness to invalidate waste sorting and recycling.
