The rack and pinion sliding lock, also known as the saw or toothed bar system, is characterized by a lock with a rack and pinion mechanism containing a toothed wheel that moves on a linear rod gear that converts rotary motion to continuous linear motion. The key rotation allows to remove the lock body to free the door sliding motion.
Thanks to the rod that can be installed up to a thickness of 29 mm,application to wood is possible without requiring any drilling, which is also ideal in the aftermarket. In the open position, the key remains locked inside the lock so that it cannot slip out.
The wood rack lock is perfectly installable on wooden sliding doors, professional furniture, displays of all kinds, and in shopping centers. Using the same lock and simply replacing the rods with the SAST04352 model, it can be easily installed on glass or crystal, such as in standard display cases used in commercial activities, on bulletin boards with sliding doors and displays in general.
