The rim lock for filing cabinets consists of a round base made of gray plastic material into which a cranked deadbolt slides, operated by the movement of the key, which can be made of nickel-plated brass or with a fixed or folding resin handle.
The cylinder features a plate-cylinder mechanism, available in either MK (keyed different), KA (keyed alike) or MK (master key system, or pass-partout). The cylinder hole on the door is finished with a plastic finishing bushing.
The filing cabinets lock is ideal for metal doors and drawers because of its quick fastening system, or otherwise on iron furniture panel such as on a horizontal metal drawing rack, on a hanging metal drawing folder, and especially on archive cabinets, usually made of gray metal, characterized by a single lock for each box, ideal for storing records and documents.
