Using a patented gravity mechanism, the lock enables simplified control and management of 2- and 4-wheeled wheeled containers for waste collection.

The innovative gravity lock system (patented) allows protection from unauthorized access and easy opening of the various containers dedicated to waste collection.

Product features:

• Automatic opening during emptying operations by the collection company.
• When this is completed, the mechanism will automatically close, preventing unauthorized persons from accessing it again.
• Opening of the mechanism by socket key (triangular) or toothed key (at 200 or 2000 combinations); this feature prevents unauthorized garbage bins from being placed inside the bin. Locks can be supplied in “CONDOMINIAL KIT” keyed alike.
• Facilitated opening from the inside without a key in case of an emergency (e.g., if a child gets stuck).
• Anti-accidental opening system in case the garbage bin tips over due to wind, shock, or vandalism.

There are numerous applications for manual locks, suitable for garbage bins as well as for locking metal or wooden crates and containers.

Models equipped with a return spring allow automatic locking of the door, while a wide choice of hooks and cams (straight, cranked, or hooked) allows endless applications. The GNKIT/INF article allows the use of the same upper parts (red upper part and hook) and bores as gravity locks, but without the automatic opening function.

Beyond the models in the catalog, it is possible to request modifications or make models on request or according to technical drawings.

Within the catalog there are more than 400 models of universal wafer (plate-cylinder or pin-cylinder cam locks) and budget locks, with lengths of 13, 16, 20, 25, 30, and 40 mm.

All products are fully designed and developed in-house at the Borgaro Torinese factory to offer you fast delivery, reliability, customization possibilities and high quality.

Used mainly to protect doors or housings, these locks fall into 3 main categories: plate-cylinder cam locks, pin tumbler locks, and budget locks.

Socket key locks (triangular, square, FIAT, double barb – 3 mm Pin, handle) allow doors or compartments to be closed without the need for an actual combination. Equipped with a compression mechanism, they can be fitted with a nut or fork (for quick fastening), straight, cranked or hooked cams as well as a multi-point cam for attaching rods.

Thanks to a state-of-the-art fleet of machines, we are able to make mounting plates and plates, specially designed and engineered to adapt and simplify the assembly of locks for waste bins.

Production is not limited to plates only, but we offer a complete service by providing the jigs and jigs to perform the assemblies properly on all garbage bins on the market.

Another important innovation of the O.M.R. family are the new locks and closing system in technopolymer material.

This latest kind of finishing enables to integrate the closing system in every furniture design with a broad range of colours and a pleasant touch sensation.

With over 50 years of history in manufacturing locks and locking systems, we have a wide selection of keys, manufactured in-house, for both gravity and manual locks. Flat keys, available in both brass and alloy, can be single-track or reversible double-track. For practicality and aesthetic taste, they can be fitted with customizable plastic handles, either fixed or jointed (so that they crank without breaking on impact).

Imprint versions (triangular, square, FIAT, double barb – 3 mm Pin) vary in composition (plastic or die-cast metal) and shape (handle, ringable, “T” shape) depending on the need and application. In addition to standard versions, we make models according to individual and specific customer requirements. As a complement, multifunction wrenches can be supplied that can facilitate the installer’s daily work.
