The slamlock with plate-cylinder is certainly among the most popular cam locks for use in applications requiring easy, quick and automatic closing system The nickel-plated brass key allows the lock to open with a 90° counterclockwise rotation, moving the central 5-plate-cylinder rotor located inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The double D fixing hole prevents the rotation of the cam lock body when installed. The spring-return mechanism, which operates the rear cam, allows automatic return to the closed position to provide greater security and prevent the lock from being forgotten in the open position. The cam matched to this variant of model 162810 is SLED04371. The body and rotor of the spring lock are made of zinc alloy, the cam of steel. The 7-mm square terminal also allows the installation of straight, cranked and hook cams-also customizable to specific needs-as well as multi-point cams for rod propulsion.
There are various models available with different movements, suitable for panel thickness from 0.5 to 27 mm, with key removal in open and/or closed position. The fully threaded body allows fastening by nut, but also by horseshoe clip for quick installation on steel, aluminum or plastic sheets. Upon request, the cam latch action can be customized, making it possible with either a key present or absent in the lock. A stainless steel sheet protects the inner rotor, which is the heart of the lock, as well as the most delicate part. Thanks to this expedient, the new OMR automatic lock can also be installed outdoors because the stainless steel provides high resistance to external agents such as rain, snow, and saltiness. In addition, the plastic patch cover protects the internal mechanism from dust and debris ensuring a long life for the lock, even in adverse environmental conditions.
The lock with spring mechanism is ideal for motorcycle cases, batteries for e-bikes, cars roof bars, roof boxes, roof racks, ski racks, bike racks, vending and car-wash systems, food industry machinery, office furniture, hospital furniture.
