The plastic protection cap for camlocks is made of black thermoplastic resin. The lock housing features the classic double-D shape (with flat sides) to accommodate all types of cam locks. The cover is connected to the base by a sturdy jumper designed to withstand numerous opening and closing cycles, and provides watertightness and stress resistance, preventing unwanted opening. The lock protection cap is an essential accessory for installing pawls and cam locks on items intended foroutdoor use that are exposed to weather, water, dirt and moisture. It is recommended for use on locks installed on board heavy vehicles (e.g., on toolboxes or isothermal boxes), on motorcycle trunks, bike racks, ski racks, and roof boxes, in gate and access gate automation systems, or on carpentry enclosures exposed to the weather.
