Espagnolette lock, lever lock key, black

The espagnolette lock with antique key or lever lock key, is a central locking 3-point lock featuring rods and a bolt. The key rotation triggers the rods’ rotatory motion, which ensures higher resistance and a light door compression when locking. At both rods’ ends hooks are installed which are rotated by the key and engage in the upper and lower anchor plates. This rotatory movement reminds of the traditional hand movement of flamenco dancers called “braceo” which inspired the name “espagnolette lock”.

The whole lock body is made of die-cast zinc alloy. The inner mechanism is a lever system. Several accessories to complete the installation are available: half-round rods, upper and lower hooks, adjustable pegs, rod guides and rosettes.
