The lock to be applied to furniture cylinders is made of zinc alloy, consisting of a round base plate inside of which slides a bolt or bolts, in this case with cranks. Both the length of the cylinder and the length of the bolt are available in different sizes; this allows installation on different materials (wood, metal, MDF, etc.) and in different positions.

The lock to be applied to furniture cylinders is made of zinc alloy, consisting of a round baseplate inside of which slides a deadbolt or bolt, in this case with a 5-mm crank. Plate-cylinder technology provides adequate security for the type of application. The barrel containing the platelets, in the Detachable barrel version, can be removed by a key extraction positions so that the combination can be changed quickly.
Both cylinder length and bolt length are in different sizes (see basic model with standard bolt); this allows installation on different materials (wood, metal, MDF, etc.) and in different positions. The reduced bolt version, with trimmed end, allows for locking by taking advantage of a hole in the side of the door.
According to the bolt position, the rim lock can be installed both on doors and on drawers. It is commonly used on wooden or metal panels, both on office furniture and workshop furniture. The rosettes for single or double glass doors are designed to install the lock on glass hinged doors, for example in showcases and displays. Due to its ease of installation and ductility, it can be placed in laboratory furniture, hospitals and museums, as well as in automations or lockers.
