The espagnolette lock allows the multiple (3-point) central locking through the movement of rods and the protruding lateral bolt. The peculiarity of espagnolette locks is that the rods motion is not translatory but rotary thus ensuring higher resistance and door compression in the locked position. The hooks installed on the rod’s ends rotate to engage the upper and lower anchor plates. This rotary movement reminds of “braceo”, the traditional hand and wrist movement of flamenco dancers, called “braceo”. That is the reason why these locks are called “espagnolette locks”.

The lock body is made of zinc alloy, the barrel features a plate-cylinder mechanism.
Several accessories to complete the installation are available: half-round rods, upper and lower hooks, adjustable pegs, rod guides and rosettes. The key is made of nickel plated brass and it can optionally be equipped with a plastic folding cap in different finishes: black, grey, white, transparent or further customized colours. The model with removable barrel allows to rapidly change the keying. Thanks to the several cylinder lengths available, the installation is possible on different materials (wood, metal, HPL, melamine, MDF, HDF, etc.) and panel thickness.

The espagnolette lock is commonly used for office furniture and storage systems with hinged doors.
