The 2-point espagnolette lock, also known as a translating rod lock, an applique lock, or a double expansion lock, consists of a box and a cylinder with a 5-plate-cylinder cam mechanism made of die-cast metal. Inserting the key and rotating the cylinder sets in motion the two referrals to which the rods are connected, which, with a shifting movement, allow the door to be opened or closed.
