The locks for waste bins are the answer to recent needs: to prevent one’s garbage bins from being taken for public bins, and to shelter from undeserved fines. Italy is the European country with the highest percentage of recycling out of the total waste collected (Ansa, March 20, 2021), and we have achieved this record in part thanks to garbage bin locks, which make it possible to reward the virtuous and identify the less careful.

The most advanced lock is the gravity lock: prevents outsiders from using the waste bin, while at the same time allows sanitation workers to easily empty garbage bins without using keys. When the waste bin exceeds a certain inclination, gravity itself causes the lock to open.
