OMR’s galvanized steel hooked cams with cranks are the ideal choice for providing reliability and security for hinged or sliding doors and sashes, drawers, etc. The cranked cam with hook is positioned on the inside of the lock and is designed so that, as it rotates in the locking seat located in the pillar, it engages with the escutcheon located to reinforce the lock. The usefulness of the cam with crank is evident when a straight cam would go into the door pillar instead of entering the locking seat. A cranked cam solves this problem, without having to use a special or oversized lock.
