The Spanish lock with rotating rods with an antique key (single map cam key) allows multiple (3-point) and centralized locking through the movement of the rods and side bolt. The special feature is in the movement of the rods that is not by translation (up/down), but by rotation ensuring greater resistance and slight compression of the door when locking. Hooks are mounted on the rod end, which, rotating driven by the key, engage the pins in the crossbars of the cabinet.
The entire lock structure is made of zinc alloy, with a cam mechanism inside. A number of accessories make up the lock: half-round rods, upper and lower hooks, adjustable pins, u-bolts, rod guides, and escutcheons. The lock to be applied with rotating rods with a cam key is commonly used in antique furniture, classic or arte povera style furniture.
