The 1-shift, 2-piston pin tumbler lock has a cruciform cylinder, set in a steel and zinc alloy body, which moves two side pins once the key is inserted. The cross arrangement of the pins provides a good level of security, thanks in part to the special cruciform shape of the key.
A simple 12-mm bit is used to create the key entry, and thanks to the 19-mm key entry,application to narrow mullions is possible. On the manufactured item the key entry appears as a small hole, very discreet, which is why it is also nicknamed “nail key” precisely because it resembles the mark left on the wall by a nail. Fastening on the door is extremely convenient, by means of two screws placed on the front plate.
Available in both KA (keyed alike) and KD (keyed alike). Equipped with its 10 mm steel round latches, it offers good strength. Easy to install and multifunctional, the range of pin tumbler locks consists of five variants: mortise-only, mullion-only deadbolt, swinging deadbolt or hooked deadbolt, and mortise-on with double pin.
The single-throw, two-piston cross key lock is best suited for application on iron and aluminum bands. It is used, thanks in part to its small size, incontract furniture on display cabinets or doors, but also in the construction industry for securing small aluminum doors, grates and boiler rooms. The bolt protrusion is 22 mm, allowing application also on store entrance doors and commercial furnishings inside stations and airports.
