The Universal Wafer Camlock with glass door plate and plate-cylinder cam locks, also called pawl locks, is certainly among the most popular double glass door locks. The nickel-plated brass key moves the central 5-plate-cylinder rotor located inside a zinc alloy box called a stator, bushing or body. The diameter is milled on two opposing sides (side plates) forming a double D to prevent rotation of the cam lock in the installation housing. By operation of the rear cam or cams, the locking or opening of the cam lock is determined.
The lock body, barrel, and cam are made of zinc alloy. The 7 mm square terminal also allows installation of a variety of straight, cranked and hook cams. The several models available feature different rotations and key removal positions in the opening and/or closing position. Fully threaded body allows fastening with nut or horseshoe clip. Double door plate MPIA04852 completes the lock attachment on the double glass door.
Universal cam locks are ideal for installations on display cases and cabinets, showcases, exhibition counters, and displays.
