In the vast world of the manufacturing industry, in addition to security locks, handles, padlocks, key knobs, socket-cylinder locks, or cylinders with security keys, there is the category of so-called “locks<\/strong>,” that is, locks without an internal pin or plate-cylinder cam locks mechanism, but rather equipped with a simple shape.<\/p>\n Just like didactic games with geometrical shapes<\/strong> for kids, these locks are operated by different tools, whose shape is inserted in zinc alloy box: triangular, squared, crossed, phillips, hexagonal, double flap or 3 mm pin. The principle is simple: once the key with the correct shape is inserted, the lock makes a quarter turn in the closing or opening position. <\/p>\n With these products, the word “protection” takes on the meaning of \u201cprotection from accidental opening<\/strong>\u201d, caused perhaps by wind or wild animals. Its simplicity means that the product can be maneuvered thousands of times without wear and tear, while the spring-loaded compression drive<\/strong> ensures better door tightening even when the item is subjected to stress and vibration. <\/p>\n The IP65<\/strong> variants (with internal O-Rings) or those made from technopolymers<\/strong>, a special “metallic plastic” that guarantees mechanical performances just like aluminium alloys, are extremely resistant to atmospheric agents and corrosion. This is followed by the flat screwdriver, where a simple screwdriver or, in the case of the hexagon, a classic Allen wrench is sufficient for opening. Intermediate triangle (electrical applications), square (gas applications) or double barb – 3 mm Pin (machinery applications) versions require a wrench. The FIAT socket version offers a higher level of security than the others because the cross shape of the barrel head forces the use of a special key to allow opening and closing, preventing opening with other tools, such as pliers. It is therefore an excellent compromise between a budget lock and a budget key lock. <\/p>\n These products find their natural application on electrical cabinets, on automatic turrets, on control panels of machineries, on isothermal boxes, on advertising systems of street furniture, on displays or on corners.
