The world of technical interior design is vast and articulated and inside one can find all the elements that make up the decor of places in which professional activities take place: from the laboratory, to the doctor’s office, to the workshop.
Being the interior design world so varied, many companies have specialised in the manufacturing of tailor made and custom furniture<\/strong> according to the type of application and needs.
The choice of technical furniture, unlike that for domestic environments, must meet certain specific requirements: the functionality and ergonomics of the furniture, in terms of space and convenience of use<\/strong>, ease of cleaning and sanitization<\/strong>, safety<\/strong> in the storage of stored items, and compliance with the stipulated regulations governing the choice of materials, technical characteristics, and design of the furniture.
In an industrial environment, for example, the need for resistance and sturdiness of furniture prevails; in a lab, on the other hand, sanification is the priority. Necessities are even more different in those spaces whereprofessional activities are carried out in public places, such as the dentist’s office<\/g>. It’s a world that we could get to know closely thanks to the collaboration with the interior designer Elisa Zagatti on a enxhibition project in this field. <\/p>\n

\u00abThe needs of a dentist’s office\u00bb Elisa states, \u00abare first of all the creation of a healthy environment, clean, but at the same time comfortable and that puts patients at ease, as they often find themselves in a state of anxiety and worry. The choice for materials, shapes and colours should never be random, even opting for custom furniture<\/g> that harmoniously fit in the environment and that effectively represent the studio image<\/g> that the denstist wants to communicate to their patients. To achieve this result, furniture has been customised with the studio’s colours and logo, creating LED light effects capable to improving the comfort of the rooms. <\/p>\n

One of dentists’ requirements was being able to securely and comfortably store patients’ documents, in total compliance with the GDPR normative<\/strong> on the protection of data protection. The solution of choice was the Hellock electronic lock, a battery-powered device that can securely lock cabinets, eliminating the problems related to key management<\/strong>, thanks to its operation by entering a PIN. Hellock, thanks to its versatility, was able to meet another need – that is, that of storing special waste inside particular closets and making them available only to those in charge of their management and disposal. The electronic lock, in fact, has 3 levels of access-user, service, and master-programmable by the person in charge, making it a convenient and secure solution.
Dental offices also have numerous specific equipment to perform in-depth examinations and analyses, such as cone beam<\/g> CT, intraoral scanner, and milling machine. In the specific project carried out by Relax Casa (http:\/\/relaxcasa.it\/<\/a>), such systems were placed inside ad hoc rooms, whose access<\/strong> is strictly limited<\/strong> to specific patients, accompanied by authorised personnel. <\/p>\n

The solution chosen to regularly manage accesses and to have a remote andconstant monitoring<\/strong> was the motorized knob, which was installed on the doors of special rooms. This tool allows, in a very simple way, to securely lock the area, allowing access – temporarily or permanently, to authorised users, who can use their smartphone to operate the lock and open the door. Moreover, the knob allows to record the number of accesses and the status of closing and opening of the lock. <\/p>\n
